Light Sculptures by Sylvie

Here is ''Harrison Lake'', the first of several suspended pieces for
windows. Titled ''How Deep Is Your Lake'', this work shows the beauty and fragility of our aquatic environment. I am using enlargements of bathymetric maps and their mirror images, welded wire, polyester fabric and ink. See more images in the ''Installation'' section of the website.

Artist Sylvie Roussel-Janssens designs and fabricates each light sculpture. The pieces consist of two layers of polyester fabric that are hand sewn on a welded wire structure. Light comes from a series of 5 watt bulbs.

La lumière provient d`une série d`ampoules de 5 watts.
